Work in Progress
A focused space for writers to work on their next piece
Work in Progress Nights
On the third Tuesday of each month, we kick the readers out of the meeting room to make space for writers to make progress on their next book, poem or thought-piece.
The two-hour session is broken into two parts.
The first hour is for writing – silent, focused and surprisingly productive with the peer-pressure of not becoming distracted.
The second hour is for discussion. You may wish to share some writing for feedback or help with structure, flow or style, or to discuss the challenges you face as a writer and for inspiration for how others manage their approach to writing.
Work in Progress Nights are free to attend, but we ask that you buy a drink or two to support the costs of running these events.
This event is very popular, and typically fills up weeks in advance. To check availability or sign up for a future session please email [email protected].
Writers Retreats
Coming Soon.
Starting this autumn, we are planning to organise longer sessions for writers with full- and half-day facilitated writers retreats in the bookshop.
