Book Clubs in Bristol
the BookCellar has opened Bristol’s only dedicated space for book clubs at 100 Stokes Croft. Our private meeting rooms are designed to facilitate good conversation, with wine and coffee on hand to lubricate your thoughts, and a shop full of inspiration for what to read next.
Our rooms are available for established book clubs looking for a new venue, and we run our own groups monthly across a range of genres from literary fiction to crime, classics to debut novels.
Whether you already have a group and are looking for somewhere to meet in Bristol, or you want to join one of ours, we would love to hear from you.
Our Bristol Book Clubs
We currently run five book clubs, hosted by one of our booksellers in the shop’s meeting rooms.
Each book is paired with the perfect wine to heighten your enjoyment, or deepen your introspection – whatever the book demands! You can buy the book and wine together in the shop for a 10% discount, or try the wine at your book club’s meeting – the only time we open these wines for serving by the glass.
To keep groups the right size, each group runs more than once per month with no more than twelve people, and you can pick which slot best suits your availability. Existing clubs members get first dibs on their choice for the following month, and we will open the waitlist to new members on the following day.
